Yahoo! releases a video last December 15, 2010 containing pictures that really shocked the humanity. Here are the pictures and some facts about it.






The sinkhole in Guatemala


This sinkhole was due to the damage caused by the Tropical Storm Agatha that hit Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. It is said to be 60foot deep.


The Burj Dubai


The building is 168 stories high and reaches 2,684 feet into the sky. It has the world's longest-traveling elevator: 1,640 feet in 2 minutes!












The Giant Goldfish In France


This giant model looks like a goldfish can win at the fair– except that weighs as much as a little girl of three years! It has a weigh of 30 pounds!


The Lufthansa Cargo Plane Crash


The Lufthansa Cargo is a German carrier that has crashed in Riyadh. It said the aircraft broke up into two on landing after smoke was seen coming from the plane as it approached the airport. But guess what, no one's seriously injured!






World's Largest Statue of Jesus Christ


This statue was built in Poland and stands 34.20 meters or 112.2 ft. The pedestal is 6.24 meters (20.5 ft), so the total height is 40.44 meters or 132.7 ft. It is the biggest statue in the Southern Hemisphere.












The Perseid Meteor Shower


The Perseid meteor shower has been observed for over 2000 years, first being recorded in China. In early medieval Europe, the Perseids came to be known as the “tears of St. Lawrence.”










The 40-ton Whale


A South African couple was out sailing near the country’s infamous Robben Island when a 14 meters long, 40-ton whale breached & crash-landed on their yacht.








World's Smallest Man


Ping Ping is his name and he's from Inner Mongolia. Ping Ping born with primordial dwarfism, holds the Guinness World Record for the smallest man at 74.61 centimeters or 2 feet and 5.37 inches.


World's Tallest Man


Sultan Kosen is his name. His pituitary gland, damaged by the tumor, was producing too much growth hormone and Mr Kösen became taller and taller. When other children were little more than 4ft, he was already well over 6ft tall.
